2nd Anime Meeting and Updates

Just to update everyone, we will be having our second anime meeting this week on Thursday from 7:00-8:30pm in the KL396.

I'm going to be sending the list with all the groups that everyone signed up for in email, since it's in excel format.

I recieved interest for the boffer weapons in the last couple of days so I'll be doing a short little introduction into what they are and what a boffer group would be doing if we decide to make a group for it.

First Anime Club Meeting of the Year!

Hey Everyone, it's our second year of existence and we've got sooooo many people! XD! I'm happy, relatively, besides stressing over classes >.>.

So the topics discussed at the meeting were

Japanese Renaissance Fair: Recreating a Japanese town in the Edo period here on campus!

-Housing:
Sewing Workshop: Teach people how to sew costumes…
Art Workshop: Teach people the basics of drawing anime etc…
Origami Workshop: Teach people the art of paper crafting.

-Dining Commons:
Halloween Cosplay Dance/Masquerade/Rave

Possible Projects
-Anime Movie Night (Possible candidates so far are "5 centimeters per second", and "Afro Samurai".)
-Anime club Movie (A short skit or play where we make up a story and make a movie out of it.)
-Group Cosplay (How many people? Which anime?)
-Anime Club Convention Field Trip(s) (AnimeExpo planning, Fanime, etc...)
-Build a Gundam (Build a child-sized model of a Gundam. Ambitious and viable provided we buy all the materials and some carpentry tools.)
-Fan dubbing/Parodies (Take out a video clip and add our own twist to that video clip.) ---Lucky Star Dance (Dance the lucky star opening song)
-Learn the Hare Hare Yukai Dance
